Shibari Halo Wand Review
Shibari is not one of the most well known brands when it comes to wand vibrators and so we were a little apprehensive when it came to reviewing the Shibari Halo Wand. That being said, we have tested enough less well known brands in the past to know that lesser known products can sometimes deliver the goods so we went in to this review with an open mind.
Our Shibari Halo review intends to take this waterproof cordless wand massager and deliver an honest verdict as to whether or not it is worth the price tag. Whilst not at the top end in terms of price, the price tag still warrants some level of expectation – so we were hoping for good things.
Shibari Halo Design
There are actually two different models of the Shibari Halo – the standard model (which is the one we tested) and the Shibari Mini Halo which is essentially just a little bit shorter in size. Regardless, both models are available in three colors (black, pink and purple) and both are wirelessly operated with a USB cable included in the package for charging.
The Halo is a wand vibrator and as such it features the standard wand shaped design. The standard model measures up at just under 12 inches in length with the massage head measuring just under 2 inches in diameter. The first thing you will instantly notice about this model is the sheer size of it. Now of course, being a wand, it is not designed for internal penetration and so for some the size may be a little unwieldy – whereas other people will like it because of its size.
One of the key advantages of the size is that the vibrations are not as powerful where you hold the wand and the slimline handle actually makes handling this vibrator pretty easy. In addition, it weighs in at just 345g which is about twice the weight of standard cell phone.
The Shibari Halo features a semi-flexible neck which is pretty commonplace in many wands available on the market today. This does again allow for ease of control although it can impact on the amount of pressure you can apply – so for those who prefer a firmer feel you may be better off looking at a model that doesn’t have a flexible neck.
The three colors that are available all look great, with the pink and white two tone design being our favorite. The color isn’t that important but it’s nice to have a choice when you are going to be getting intimate with a device like this.
There are two buttons, one that switches the wand on and off and the other that controls the settings. There are 10 vibration settings to choose from in total with two different speeds available. The Halo has a pretty powerful motor and for that reason this wand is best suited to those who like a good amount of stimulation. Those who prefer a gentler experience may prefer to look elsewhere. That being said, the Halo is a good option for first timers as well as those who have used a wide range of toys and we would say this is a good option for taking your first steps with a vibrator.
The Shibari Halo is completely waterproof and is also very easy to clean. It features a silicone head that is reassuringly cushioned and the grip is a good size for most hands.

Shibari Halo User Experience
The Halo by Shibari can be a little intimidating when you first unbox it. It comes in a lovely slimline box (complete with USB cable and wall adapter) but the size of it can be a little overwhelming – we imagine this would particularly be the case for those new to sex toys.
The good news is that there is no need to be intimidated by the Halo. The reason for the size is due to the powerful motor that it contains but you don’t have to go full power right from the off and you should spend some time getting to know your new toy for the first few uses. The 2 inch head is a good size for wand based pleasure and the semi-flexible neck and cushioned silicone head means you won’t cause any damage to yourself when using it – in fact, it is fair to say that you will likely only experience a lot of pleasure from using the Halo.
That was our experience of it at least – a LOT of pleasure!
Considering the relatively low price of the Shibari Halo Wand it really does deliver on performance and clitoral stimulation is pretty much a given. Through our testing, it wasn’t uncommon to reach orgasm within 2 minutes of use and sometimes much less. This is a common thread that seems to be highlighted in numerous online Shibari Halo reviews too with first timers who have struggled to reach climax during penetrative sex finding better and better climaxes as a result of using the Shibari either on their own or as part of sexual intercourse.
All materials used in the Halo are completely body safe and the cord-free nature of it mean it can be used safely in the bath or shower too. The silicone head means that using a high quality water-based lubricant is advisable but this isn’t strictly necessary but for anyone using an intimate toy for the first time then it is probably going to make the experience even more pleasureful if you do.
Charging takes 2-3 hours for a full charge and although we didn’t time how long the wand lasts for on a full charge, you will certainly get a good few sessions out of it before you need a re-charge.
As a more powerful wand vibrator (especially for a cordless model), the Shibari excels in terms of comfort levels when holding the base. Oftentimes, wand vibrators with more powerful motors can send too much vibration through to the hands and fingers which can make it downright uncomfortable when using for any length of time or for multiple orgasms. Although the Halo does have some small vibrations sent to the hand, it really is minor and this doesn’t detract from the overall enjoyment – and the more powerful vibrations at the right end are all you will really take notice when in use with no nasty after-tingling sensations felt in the hands – the tingling is all in the right place.
So far, we have very much come at this review from the female perspective and of course it’s primary target market will be female, but it can also be used by men to provide stimulation to the shaft of the penis and both men and women are likely to enjoy using it together in the bedroom. For anyone looking to bring a vibrator in to a couple’s sex life for the first time then the Shibari really is a non-threatening way of doing so – for both parties.
The Shibari Halo can also be used as a percussion massager and although this certainly isn’t its primary or intended purpose it can be used in this way too thanks to its cushioned head.

Our Verdict
The Shibari Halo is a real gem of a wand and for the price tag it really is hard to fault this device. It is incredibly comfortable to use and has enough power to bring on fast and intense orgasms – even for women who are completely new to this type of toy.
The color range is limited and the flexible head means you can’t get really firm contact but for those who like it gentle but in a powerful way or for anyone looking to test the waters (and you can literally do so thanks to its waterproof design) then the Halo is a top buy and is something you will get years of pleasure from.
