Secrets AI Review

Secrets AI Review: Quick Verdict
Recommended if you want a companion that remembers you, with pictures, video and calls on tap. Secrets AI saves what you tell it, ranks each memory by importance and pulls the right ones back into later chats. Paid plans add unlimited text chat plus Moments, the credits that pay for images, short videos and voice calls. Premium costs $19.99 a month, or $109.99 a year (about $9.17 a month), and includes 8,000 Moments a month. The catches: the free plan stops at 20 messages a day, video burns through Moments, there’s no App Store or Google Play app, and its boldest privacy claims haven’t been independently checked.
- Best for: adults who want memory and media in one companion app
- Skip it if: you want a big free allowance, predictable costs for heavy video use or a native phone app
- Starting price: free (20 messages a day); Premium from $9.17 a month, billed yearly
Affiliate disclosure: We may earn a commission if you subscribe through links on this page, at no additional cost to you. For adults 18+.

I’ll be honest. With a name like Secrets, I expected a privacy pitch wrapped around a generic chatbot.
It’s more ambitious than that. The memory tools go further than most rivals I’ve covered, and the media menu runs from photos to short clips with sound. The trade-off is a credit system you’ll want to keep an eye on.

What Is Secrets AI, Exactly?
Secrets AI is a companion app for adults. You pick a character from its library or build your own, then chat, swap pictures, make short videos and talk on voice calls. Adult roleplay is allowed, with spice settings running from Mild to Spicy.
It’s made by Secret Labs Inc., a small company registered in Dover, Delaware, according to DeviceDiary and NeuronFeed, which dates its launch to 2024. In an August 2025 press release, the company claimed more than 80,000 users, mostly through word of mouth.
Mind the name. Plenty of products use similar names, including Secret AI, an offline chat app on the App Store. This review covers secrets.ai, the companion platform.
There’s no store app yet. That same press release promised iOS and Android apps “in the coming weeks.” More than a year later, reviewers still found no App Store or Google Play listing. You use Secrets AI in your browser, and since July 2026 you can add it to your home screen as a web app with push notifications.
Sign-up is quick, but reports differ on what it asks for. AI Companion Guides said in July that it made an account without giving an email address. DeviceDiary’s September review describes email verification or Google sign-in. Either way, you confirm you’re 18 or over, and you don’t need a card to start.
If you’re curious but a little self-conscious about it, you’ve got company. Match’s 2025 Singles in America study found that 16% of singles had interacted romantically with AI, according to Global Dating Insights.
Free vs Paid: What You Get Without Paying
The free plan is a taster, not somewhere to settle. Here’s what it includes, per HowToTechInfo’s September 2026 breakdown:
- Messages: 20 a day. Only the messages you send count, and the 24-hour clock starts with your first one
- Message length: up to 500 characters
- Moments: 200 at sign-up, enough for four standard images. Free accounts can’t buy more
- Characters: the full library and your own creations, though free accounts get only 100 messages in total with custom characters
- Memory: basic
- Locked: video, Time Travel (rewinding a chat) and anything else that needs Moments once your starter Moments run out
The limit is tied to your device, so a second account won’t get you more messages. HowToTechInfo’s tester hit the cap in under 15 minutes.
Paying changes the experience completely:
| Feature | Free | Premium | Ultimate |
|---|---|---|---|
| Messages | 20 a day | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Message length | 500 characters | 1,000 characters | 2,000 characters |
| Moments | 200 at sign-up | 8,000 a month | 15,000 a month |
| Bonus on top-ups | Can’t buy them | 10% | 15% |
| Memory | Basic | 4x the memories, 60% more context | 6x the memories, double the context |
| Video | No | Yes | Yes |
| Extras | None | Voice calls, Time Travel | Everything in Premium, plus personas, group chats, proactive messages and memory editing |
My tip: spend your 20 free messages on one character and test its memory a little. You’ll learn more from that than from skimming ten different bots.
Picking or Building a Character
Secrets AI’s library holds more than 500 ready-made companions, by HowToTechInfo’s September count, and you can filter them by gender, style and popularity. A July update introduced “V2” companions built on a newer image model.
The range has gaps, though. DeviceDiary found the official line-up narrow, with anime styles and a wider range of body types underrepresented.
Building your own is where Moments start to matter:
- Your first custom character is free. After that, each one costs 500 Moments
- Regenerating its look is free once, then 100 Moments a go
- Copying (forking) one of your own characters costs 300 Moments, and someone else’s costs 600. The original creator gets a 300-Moment bonus, and since July you can tip creators, too
Once you’re chatting, a few controls make a real difference. You can switch between short, text-style replies (SMS mode) and longer Paragraph replies. You can edit your messages after sending them, and steer the story with out-of-character directions. Time Travel, on paid plans, rewinds a conversation to an earlier point (it deletes everything after that point, so use it carefully).
Ultimate adds group chats, where several companions talk to you and to each other. It also adds personas, which describe who you are in a roleplay, and proactive messages, where your companion texts first if you allow notifications. Since June 2026, Secrets AI also chats in Spanish, German, French and Japanese, and matches your language automatically.
The rules are strict where they should be. Every character must be an adult aged 18 to 99, and DeviceDiary reports that trying to create anyone younger gets an account banned on the spot. Characters based on real people are deleted without a refund.
What Secrets AI Really Costs

Secrets AI charges you two ways: a subscription for unlimited chat, and Moments for media. These USD subscription prices were displayed in its official store on October 28, 2026. The Ultimate annual offer is a first-year Halloween promotion.
| Plan | Monthly | Annual price displayed October 28, 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Premium | $19.99 | $109.99 per year (about $9.17 a month) |
| Ultimate | $39.99 | $249.99 for the first year (about $20.83 a month), then $319.99 per year |
A year of Premium costs less than half of what 12 monthly payments would. The older Lite and Plus plans have been retired, and members still on them move to Premium at renewal, with at least 14 days’ notice.
What Moments buy. Text chat costs nothing on a paid plan. Everything else draws on your Moments:
| What you make | Moments |
|---|---|
| Standard image (1.5K) | 50 |
| Advanced image (2K) | 100 |
| Extra reference image (Advanced mode) | 10 each |
| Adult video clip (8 seconds, 720p, no sound) | 600 |
| Voice call | 50 a minute |
| Text-to-speech | 10 per 100 characters |
| Extra custom character | 500 |
Do the math and Premium’s 8,000 Moments cover about 160 standard images, 13 adult clips or 160 minutes of calls a month. Ultimate’s 15,000 stretch to about 300 images, 25 clips or five hours of calls. Mix and match and those numbers drop fast. AI Companion Guides’ reviewer used close to 4,000 Moments making four videos in about 20 minutes.
Running low? Paid members can buy Moments packs; check the current pack total and any plan bonus in the store. The official payment guide says Premium gets a 10% bonus and Ultimate 15%. Purchased Moments do not expire, while unused monthly subscription Moments are replaced at renewal.
The fine print, from HowToTechInfo, DeviceDiary and AI Companion Guides:
- You can cancel anytime and keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for, then drop back to the free plan
- There are no partial refunds for unused days, and Moments purchases are final. Crypto payments can’t be refunded
- Glitched images are the documented exception and may get their Moments back, but Advanced-mode images aren’t eligible, and one reviewer found failed generations cost the same as good ones
- Cancelling takes about seven steps, with retention offers and a countdown along the way
- Prepaid three- and twelve-month keys, sold through G2A, don’t renew automatically, but they only work on an account with no active plan
How to cancel: start the cancellation in your account and keep going past the retention offers until you reach a confirmation screen. Screenshot it, so you have proof if a renewal slips through.
My advice? Try one month of Premium before you commit. If the memory works for you, the yearly plan is the value pick at $109.99. Ultimate only makes sense if you want group chats and personas, or you know you’ll make a lot of video.

Memory and Chat Quality
Memory is Secrets AI’s headline feature, and it works differently from most rivals’.
- Automatic memories: as you chat, it saves facts about you and your story, and tags each one as high, medium or low importance
- A memory viewer: you can see what it has stored, re-rank it and delete it. Ultimate members have been able to edit memories directly since May 2026
- Smart Mode: added in April 2026, it inserts a short thinking step that picks which memories to recall before each reply
- Memory groups: linked chats share memories, so a companion keeps continuity across separate conversations
- More room as you pay more: Premium gets four times the free plan’s memories and 60% more context, and Ultimate six times the memories and double the context
So does it work? The independent testing is encouraging, with caveats. AI Companion Guides found recall reliable within a session, and its companion brought up a work week mentioned three chats earlier. But it saw nothing like the long-term recall of Kindroid or Replika, and there’s no way to export your memories. DeviceDiary noted occasional slips with older details and minor story threads, and some Trustpilot reviewers still report forgetful characters after a March memory upgrade.
The conversation itself gets good marks. Reviewers praise how quickly characters pick up your tone and adapt to it. The most common complaint is repetition in very long sessions.
Images, Video and Voice
This is where Secrets AI earns its price, and where your Moments go.
Images. There are two modes. Premium mode works from tags, makes batches of up to eight and takes roughly 2 to 8 seconds per image. Advanced mode takes plain-English descriptions, outputs at 1.5K or 2K and lets you add up to five reference images to keep a face consistent. Since July 2026, Advanced mode works for adult scenes, too.
Quality is decent rather than dazzling. AI Companion Guides saw faces drift and the usual AI trouble with hands, and DeviceDiary rated face consistency below Candy AI’s. Some Trustpilot reviewers say images often miss specific requests.
Video. Paid plans can turn a scene into a clip of 4 to 15 seconds, with sound on by default and resolutions up to 4K on the advanced settings. Adult clips are more limited: 8 seconds at 720p, with no sound, for 600 Moments each. DeviceDiary reports that adult clips now render in about 35 seconds, down from about two minutes.
Voice. Voice calls cost 50 Moments a minute, half the pre-May 2026 rate, and group calls cost the same however many companions join. Text-to-speech, which reads replies aloud, costs 10 Moments per 100 characters. Calls are transcribed, so what you say on a call carries back into the chat. One tester found standalone voice messages missing from their account, even though calls worked.
The usual rules apply. Never upload a real person’s photo or recreate someone you know, and keep every character and scenario 18+.
Privacy, Discretion and Deleting Your Account
Privacy is the heart of Secrets AI’s pitch, so it deserves a hard look. The short version: some of the claims are reassuring, and some I couldn’t verify.
What Secrets AI and reviewers report:
- Data is encrypted at rest and in transit, and the company says it doesn’t sell your data to third parties (StartupHub.ai)
- Your identity details are stored separately from your companion’s memories, according to DeviceDiary
- Deleting your account is permanent. It removes your personal data and memories and cancels your subscription
- Alternative payment options can change how a purchase appears on a card statement, but they do not guarantee anonymity.
Privacy claims need caution. Secrets AI’s homepage advertises end-to-end encryption. Independent reports disagree on the scope of encryption and Private Mode, and this review has not independently audited either. Treat the marketing as a vendor claim; avoid sharing information you would be uncomfortable having stored.
StartupHub.ai, which scores how sites handle security and privacy, gave Secrets AI 73 out of 100. Security scored a strong 90, but privacy scored 55, because the policy is thin on GDPR, CCPA and cookie details.
Age checks. Secrets AI is for adults 18 and over. Its public homepage required an adult confirmation when checked; we have not tested every regional verification flow.
Discretion. The official store and payment guide say charges appear as S LABS INC. We have not verified the descriptor with a purchase.
A few habits help:
- Sign up with an email address that doesn’t include your name
- Keep real names, addresses and workplaces out of your chats
- Check the memory viewer now and then, and delete anything you’d rather it didn’t keep
For context, the whole category struggles here. When Mozilla reviewed 11 romantic AI chatbots in 2024, every one failed its privacy review.
What Reddit, Forums and Review Sites Say
These are recurring themes in the independent reviews and user reports gathered for this article. They describe other people’s experiences, rather than results from our own hands-on testing.
Trustpilot is glowing. Secrets AI scores 4.5 out of 5 from 286 reviews, with 74% at five stars and just 3% at one star. The company claimed the page in February 2026 and replies to 95% of negative reviews. Many reviews are only a line or two long, so read them as a mood check rather than a deep test.
The developers get real credit. Reviewers mention quick replies on Discord and frequent updates. DeviceDiary’s run-through of the 2026 changelog backs that up, with memory upgrades, a cheaper call rate and a new companion image model, among other changes.
Memory gets praise and complaints. Several Trustpilot reviewers called memory the standout feature after a March 2026 upgrade, while others still report characters forgetting things. Reviewers who quote Reddit users say much the same: strong in the moment, weaker over weeks.
Images and characters draw most of the criticism. The recurring gripes are images that miss specific requests, too few ready-made characters, limited control when designing your own, and monthly Moments that expire unused.
Some praise reads like an ad. One long Reddit post billed itself as a “4 Month Research Report” and rated Secrets AI 8.5 out of 10. A commenter promptly called it AI-written advertising. Treat glowing posts with no downsides carefully, here and everywhere.
The overall picture? Across these reports, people who use Secrets AI for ongoing roleplay with one or two characters seem happiest. People hoping for endless cheap media tend to run into the Moments meter.
The Good, the Meh and the Dealbreakers
The good
- Detailed memory: automatic, ranked by importance, visible to you and shared across linked chats
- Unlimited text chat on any paid plan, with no Moments charged for chatting
- Images, video with sound and voice calls in one app
- A published Moments price list, so you can plan what you spend
- Flexible payment, including crypto and prepaid keys
- A development team that ships updates often
The meh
- A free plan of just 20 messages a day
- Video eats Moments quickly, and monthly Moments don’t roll over
- Faces can drift between images, and adult clips are short and silent
- No App Store or Google Play app
- Personas and group chats are locked to Ultimate, at $39.99 a month
- A fairly narrow line-up of official characters
The dealbreakers (for some)
- Big privacy claims that haven’t been independently verified
- No partial refunds, and Moments purchases are final
- A seven-step cancellation flow
Who It’s For (and Who Should Skip It)
Secrets AI is a good fit if you:
- Want one or two ongoing companions who remember your story
- Like mixing chat with pictures, calls and the odd video
- Prefer to pay with crypto or a prepaid key
- Don’t mind keeping an eye on a credit balance
Skip it if you:
- Want to chat a lot without paying. SpicyChat is far more generous for free
- Plan to make lots of video on a fixed budget
- Want a native iPhone or Android app
- Need verified privacy guarantees before you share anything personal
Secrets AI Alternatives Worth a Look
If Secrets AI isn’t quite right, these are the obvious next stops. Prices move often, so treat these as starting points.
- Candy AI. A cheaper way into a visual companion, with unlimited chat from $3.99 a month on the annual plan. Its free tier is only five messages, though, and most media prices only show up inside the app.
- OurDream AI. The closest match on media, with 1,000 Dreamcoins a month from $9.99 a month billed yearly and a fully published coin price list.
- SpicyChat. The pick if you mainly want to chat for free, with a huge library of user-made characters and a 2,000-reply daily cap.
- Nomi. Built around long-term memory and conversation, at $99.99 a year on iOS. It’s the safer bet if recall over weeks matters most.
Secrets AI FAQs
Is Secrets AI free?
Partly. The free plan gives you 20 messages a day, 500-character messages and 200 starter Moments. Unlimited chat, video and calls need a paid plan.
How much does Secrets AI cost?
Premium costs $19.99 a month or $109.99 a year. Ultimate costs $39.99 monthly; on October 28, 2026, the store offered its first year for $249.99, renewing at $319.99 yearly. Check the current promotion and renewal total before paying.
What are Moments on Secrets AI?
Moments are credits for media. A standard image costs 50, a voice call 50 a minute and an adult video clip 600. Premium includes 8,000 a month and Ultimate 15,000.
Do unused Moments roll over?
No. Your monthly allowance resets at renewal. Moments you buy as top-ups never expire.
Does Secrets AI remember you?
Yes, within limits. It saves memories automatically, ranks them by importance and can share them across linked chats. Reviewers found recall strong in the short term and patchier over weeks.
Is there a Secrets AI app?
Not on the App Store or Google Play. You use it in your browser, and you can add it to your phone’s home screen as a web app.
Can I pay with crypto?
Yes, with a $20 minimum, though crypto payments can’t be refunded. Cards (not American Express), Google Pay and prepaid plan keys work, too.
Can I get a refund?
Rarely. There are no partial refunds for unused time, and Moments purchases are final.
Is Secrets AI safe?
It’s run by a registered US company and says it encrypts your data, but its biggest privacy claims haven’t been independently verified. Use a separate email and keep personal details out of your chats.
So, Is Secrets AI Worth It?
If memory is what you care about, it’s one of the more interesting companion apps around. Automatic, ranked memories you can actually see are rare, and having images, video and calls in the same place makes the paid plans feel complete.
The free plan won’t tell you much, though. Twenty messages a day is barely a conversation, so budget for one month of Premium if you’re curious. If the memory clicks, the yearly plan at $109.99 is good value. If you mainly want video, watch your Moments closely, because they go fast.
Whichever way you go, keep personal details out of your chats, and don’t take the privacy marketing on trust.
