Lelo Loki Wave 2 Review
Jonny Keller brings you his Lelo Loki Wave 2 review after testing it probably more than he needed to. Find out how he got on with it and whether it’s right for you below…
I am not new to the world of prostate massagers, and my experience of Lelo’s various prostate pleasure giving offerings over the years has been mixed to say the least. So when I took delivery of their latest device for this Lelo Loki Wave 2 review, I wasn’t sure what to expect.
If you are considering buying a Loki Wave either for yourself or a partner, then you probably have all the same questions I did – and I’ll be aiming to answer all of those for you in this review to help take the guesswork out of it for you.
I’ll also be covering all the specs and measurements – as well as telling you about my own experiences with it.
So – let’s get in to this Loki Wave review…
About The Lelo Loki Wave
Based on the same technology as the Lelo Loki, the Loki Wave 2 has a fair few improvements – so much so that I think you’d be hard pressed to find anyone who prefers the Loki over the Loki Wave 2.
As you probably already know, the Loki Wave is a prostate massager – one that takes a lot of the hard work out of the equation thanks to its perineum arm – not quite making it a hands free experience but almost.
The Loki Wave features a dual motor with come hither motion that is designed to stimulate your prostate and tantalize your perineum. It has 10 vibration settings and various patterns for you to cycle through to find your favorite pleasure setting.
The Loki Wave has an insertable length of 3.9 inches and is 1.7 inches in diameter (at it’s widest insertable point). It’s relatively lightweight considering the technology it contains and weighs in at just under 200g. An impressive 2 hour battery life and 90 days of standby charge mean you have plenty of juice to enjoy it to its fullest. It takes 2 hours to charge which is pretty fast for the amount of use time it has.
It has a premium silicone finish and like all Lelo toys it really does have a premium feel to it. It’s also completely waterproof for ease of cleaning and water based play.
The Loki Wave is comparable in terms of cost to other similar products such as the Lovense Edge 2 and the Lelo Hugo. If anything, it’s a touch more expensive (depending on current deals) but it offers excellent value for money even at full price.

My First Impressions Of The Loki Wave
As I mentioned earlier, I’ve used prostate massagers before – both vibrating and non vibrating models. That being said, I was still a little taken aback when I unboxed the Loki Wave. It has a fair amount of girth at its widest point (1.7 inches) and this is a little more than I would recommend for a beginner. It’s not a deal breaker, but it could be a little uncomfortable for a first timer.
If it’s not your first prostate rodeo though, you will likely get along just fine with the Loki Wave.
Despite having a couple of reservations about the girth, I was impressed with the overall quality, the feel and the design. I always get myself familiar with the controls before inserting a toy in to my body so I fired up the Wave by holding down the centre button (it’s not obvious there is a button there at first glance) and cycled through the various vibration intensities and patterns.
Both the insertable and non-insertable arms vibrate and you can decide whether to have these on or off – or one on and one off – as you see fit. You can also choose whether to have the come hither arm movement activated – this is what helps to put the pressure on the prostate and enables the Wave to be used almost hands free.
Like I say, getting familiar with the controls prior to using the toy is a good idea. That being said, the Loki Wave is easy to use and the buttons are intuitive. Importantly, it is also easy to hold and operate the controls whilst using the toy. This isn’t always a given and so Lelo should be applauded for this.

Using The Lelo Loki Wave
The Loki Wave 2 wins hands down over the Lelo Loki. It’s a completely different experience. I enjoyed the Loki but the Loki Wave takes things to a whole new level. As I mentioned before, it might not be suitable for first timers due to that 1.7 inch girth, but the narrower head actually makes inserting the toy a pretty easy experience. The fullness you feel from the extra girth will be appreciated by more experienced users too.
Where the Loki Wave really excels is through the perineum vibrating arm and the come hither motion of the main arm combined with powerful vibration.
As mentioned, it’s not quite a complete hands free experience when using the Wave. It’s not far off and the perineum arm certainly helps – and depending on your body position you may be able to find a more hands free way of using the toy, but it’s close enough either way.
The Wave feels incredibly safe to use and for me the perineum vibrations were just as impressive as the vibrating waving arm. It took me a little bit of time to find the setting I was most comfortable with and then I worked my way through the vibration intensities.
I’ll be honest, I didn’t make it all the way through to the highest intensity as I maxed out at around 60-70% intensity – I wasn’t counting but it was around that level.
The Wave is powerful, there’s no disputing that. It also does a really good job of putting enough pressure on the prostate without you having to overly maneuver and thrust the toy – a real plus point as it’s never an enjoyable experience.
This allows you to focus on you. Focus on enjoying yourself and really letting you benefit from the extra pleasure you get from the prostate massage.
Compared to the original Loki or even the Lovense Edge 2, the Wave comes out a winner. It provided me with one of the most intense orgasms I’ve had in a long time, and although it wasn’t like this every time I used it – every time was better than without using it – at least for solo play.
For couple play it also works well, but you might find that handling it yourself is the way to go due to the ergonomics of the design.
In terms of the practicalities – the Loki Wave is easy to maintain and clean. Thanks to it being waterproof you can simply wash it under warm soapy water after use. It’s best when used with a water based lubricant and you can be as liberal as you like in this regard. The Wave is also relatively quiet to use. It has an official maximum rating of 50db but it seemed a fair bit quieter than what I expected. The wave motor is quiet with the vibrations making up most of the noise – still, it is unobtrusive in terms of the sound it makes and is relatively discreet. If anything, you will be making more noise than the toy when using it.
Would I recommend the Loki Wave? In a word, yes I would.
I’ve used a fair few prostate massagers in my time and this one is one of the best. It comes with the usual quality hallmarks you’d expect from any Lelo toy, and delivers in a big way when it comes to powerful prostate powered orgasms. The only way they could improve it for me is to find a way to make it fully hands free – it’s almost there but not quite. That being said, it’s still going to be staying in my top drawer as one of my go to toys in 2023 and beyond no doubt.

Verdict
The Lelo Loki Wave is worth every penny. It’s a premium toy, made from high end materials and delivers in a big way. It may not be suitable for absolute beginners, but once you’ve used a couple of smaller prostate massagers you should look to take the step up in class to the Lelo Loki Wave 2 – it really is a masterpiece.
It’s semi hands-free, powerful, intense, easy to use, easy to clean and delivers in a big way when it comes to the big O. It will be something I come back to again and again for solo and couple play I have no doubt.
