OhMiBod Esca 2 Review
Today, we’re going to be reviewing the OhMiBod Esca 2, the child born from the collaboration between OhMiBod and sex tech giant Kiiroo.
This toy has two purposes. First, alleviate the pain from those lonely nights when your lover is away and make them feel closer to you. Second, you can also use it to add a little more spice to your relationship by adding some sexy, unpredictable, public fun to your night out. Or, like us, you could simply be testing it so that you guys can find out whether it’s worth your hard-earned cash.
That last reason is why we are staring at the nondescript brown bag brought back from work. Knowing that inside, it is another “work assignment” waiting for us to finish.
Ahem.
Let’s get started with the actual OhMiBod Esca 2 review now.
OhMiBod Esca 2 Design And Appearance
Before we get going, we would like you to know that the OhMiBod Esca 2 is bright, shiny purple. Anyone who’s ever seen an egg vibrator before will probably know what it is almost immediately.
This vibe has an elegant curve that makes it almost C-shaped. The entire toy is made of body-safe materials, with the bigger bulb, that is, the end that’s meant to be inserted inside of you, created from silicone and the smaller end from ABS plastic.
As you could probably tell, the bigger end is meant to massage your G-Spot and provide internal stimulation to your vaginal walls. The smaller end has a little attachment that’s supposed to add extra sensation by sending targeted vibrations to the clitoris.
The curve on this toy also means that you can wear it around comfortably with the more prominent vibe inside and the smaller one sitting pretty on your clit. And because it’s an app-controlled toy, it can be classified as a teledildonic.
If you’re worried about the size, the most prominent point on this toy is only 1.3 inches wide, and the part of the toy that’s insertable is only about two to three inches out of the entire length of 7.3 inches. This means that the Esca can be comfortably worn as you go about your day as long as you’re not wearing that skin-tight dress.
The toy is app-controlled, so you can discreetly activate it by yourself whenever you want and control it with ease from your phone. It’s also compatible with any Kiiroo affiliated toy such as the Onyx 2 or Fleshlight Launch. This broadens your user options. Use the Esca 2 on its own or get another affiliated toy and double the pleasure. Hmmm. Decisions, decisions.

Power
Because the Esca 2 is meant to be controlled by the app, there isn’t a standard measurement to distinguish the number of vibration modes and intensity levels. So instead, we have various names and titles used to mark the multiple ways that this toy can throb.
You can use four modes to control the Esca 2 via the OhMiBod App: Rhythm, Tap, Touch, Club Vibe. Each of these modes has its pros and cons, which we will go into later when discussing how to use the Esca 2.
However, the overall power of this vibe isn’t extreme until you turn the power way up. It’s good if you’re just teasing, and it might make someone with uber-sensitive vaginal walls cum, but this toy doesn’t shock with its power for most people. But we’ll speak more on that when we start talking about our personal experience.
This is pretty normal for a wearable vibrator because it’s primarily meant for foreplay. Theoretically, you could have a body-shaking, earth-shattering orgasm like Abby did in The Ugly Truth, but not all of us want to show our “O” face at a table full of our peers and prospective bosses. So keep that for home and keep the Esca’s slightly gentle vibes for those nice dates.
But apart from the app-controlled settings, the Esca also has a manual mode for you to enjoy in your time of need. It’s a great option to have when you just can’t get a signal or if your phone is dead. All you need to do is press a button. Please do this before you slide the toy in so that you don’t interrupt your pleasure while fumbling for the button.
Noise Level
A person might not hear this toy even if the vibe was going strong and they had their heads up against your stomach. That’s how silent this toy is. This isn’t surprising because this toy doesn’t have the potent vibrations that some other toys do. But, we didn’t expect this level of quiet.
While it does make a quiet, low buzzing sound when it’s on and in the open air, all of that is muted by your flesh and clothes once you slide the toy in. So you can go anywhere, to any dinner party, lunch, coffee shop, restaurant, and maybe even a mime show without fearing that anyone will hear your Esca 2 buzzing away in your underwear.
The first few levels are ideal for quiet places like museums and expensive restaurants. At the higher levels, the motor works harder and is louder. People standing within two feet of you may hear a low buzzing sound, so it’s better only to use higher intensity levels when you’re in a noisy environment.
If you and your partner understand the above conditions and play accordingly, then what you should be scared of is that people hear you, especially if your partner likes a little risk and decides to turn it up a notch.
Esca 2 Control And Connectivity
Like we said before, the OhMiBod Esca 2 is app-controlled. Because this toy is the combined effort of Kiiroo and OhMiBod, you can control the Esca on both the FeelConnect app and the OhMiBod app, available on Android and iOS. Both apps are great, but the OhMiBod app is way ahead in terms of user-friendliness, in our opinion.
Both apps can be controlled with Bluetooth as long as the device is within 26 feet of the toy. Any farther than that and you’ll be relying on Wi-Fi connectivity to ensure that your phone and the toy remain connected. However, if the network on both ends isn’t good, you will have a harder time maintaining the connection.
There are three modes that you can set through Bluetooth. The first is full motor intensity and full LED. The second is full motor intensity, no LED lights, and the third is half motor intensity and full LED lights. Apart from these three modes, the OhMiBod remote app allows users to create their patterns and choose their intensities.
And as we said before, there are also various cool ways to change up the vibration patterns and intensities within the app. You can even sync the Esca 2 with your music and throb to the beat. So there’s lots of versatility.
But if you don’t want to handle a phone to control your app or it’s simply out of reach at the moment, you can easily switch over to manual mode. Using manual mode is relatively easier than using the app. All you need to do is adjust the manual mode by pressing the little button on the smaller end of the Esca 2. Keep pushing it to switch between any of the two patterns and three intensities
All the modes are reminiscent of the levels on the app and are capable of providing awesome sensations if they can’t bring you off directly.

Charging And Battery Life
The battery life and charging time of the OhMiBod Esca 2 are yet another advantage for this product. You can charge the Esca like you would your standard Android phone. It only needs to sit on the pin for about 1.5 hours before reaching maximum power. When the battery is full, you only need some lube and your body, and you can expect the Esca 2 to last for three hours.
However, this battery time is relative. If you keep the motor running at the highest level for a prolonged period, you’re going to drain the battery before long. It might not even last an hour. This means that you have to gauge the amount of power left in the toy since your last round.
Using many modes drains the charge quickly. In essence, while the official information on Kiiroo and OhMiBod’s websites gives the Esca 2 three hours to charge, it might take much less in reality. However, this doesn’t mean that this toy doesn’t retain a charge; it does. We are just providing an explanation that gives a reason if your Esca dies on you.
Water Resistance
Everyone and everything has a weakness. The Esca 2’s weakness just so happens to be water. It cannot be submerged underwater. It can only resist water; that is, it’s splashproof, which is excellent news for women who squirt. But, you can’t take it into the shower or tub with you, but why would you, when there’s so much to do with the toy’s charge.
If this toy ever falls into a pool, focus on drying the charging port. That’s the part that can store water which can damage the toy.
Other Features
Occasionally, some brands add extra features to their products to make a difference and seem original. For example, the feature for the OhMiBod Esca 2 is an LED light within the tail end of the toy, that is, the part that’s outside your body and close to your clitoris.
The LED light serves several functions. First, it blinks as an indicator that it is charging. Then, when you turn on the toy, you look at the LED light to make sure it’s on. After that, it’ll start to glow softly, which is enough indication that your toy is ready to play. Finally, when your vibe settings are high, the light glows brighter to provide a visual impact of the vibration level you’re currently using.
While this part of the toy does have some use, the OhMiBod Esca 2 is a toy commonly used for public play, so it’d be weird if there were a light glowing through your pants. You can easily dim or switch off the LED light by softly pressing the button at the tail end of the Esca 2. You can also turn it off using either the FeelConnect app or the OhMiBod app.
What’s In The Box?
It’s important to consider where you’re buying from as much as what you’re buying. We have another article on some of the most trustworthy online sex shops, so you could check that out if you don’t have a go-to store yet.
But for toys that rely on their connectivity to function, buying from the wrong place can sink your ship before it starts to float. So if we can’t purchase the tool right from the source (manufacturer), we use Lovehoney.com, which is exactly what we did when ordering the OhMiBod Esca 2.
The Esca 2 came wrapped up in a discreet package, which is necessary because a picture of the toy is on the front cover of its box. Cracking open the box, you can find four items.
The OhMiBod Esca 2
The toy itself in all its glory. It’s a bright purple device, sitting in an Esca 2-shaped space. When it arrives, the Esca 2 won’t have a charge in it, so, like a new phone, your first course of action should be to charge it using the next item in the box quickly.
USB Charging Cable
This is a cable included to charge the Esca 2. While it doesn’t come with a charger head, it should be compatible with any phone wall plug you find lying around.
The User Manual
The manual provides instructions on using the OhMiBod Esca 2 and how to make sure it lives a long life with you. It also shows you some precautions you should take while using the toy. For example, the fact that it is NOT waterproof and should NOT be dipped in water.
A Cute Pouch
This tiny, satin pouch can be used to discreetly store the Esca 2 when you’re not using it. It’s also discreet enough to carry with you if you want to take your toy with you. Simply fold the Esca 2 into two and gently put it inside the pouch and draw it closed. No one’s going to guess that you’re carrying a wearable sex toy in that cute little pouch.
Now that we know what’s inside the box, let’s check out how to use the OhMiBod Esca 2.

How To Use The Ohmibod Esca 2
After charging your Esca 2 to the max, it’s finally time to play with it. First, let’s start with some basic knowledge.
- To know if your toy is fully charged, check the LED light. If it’s charging, it’ll be blinking. If it’s full, then the light will be steady.
- To turn on the Esca 2, hold down the teeny button on the tail. The light will start flashing to show that your toy is ready to go.
- After switching on the Esca 2, don’t press the button anymore if you want to use the app to control it. Pressing the button one more time will start up the first vibration mode; additional pressing will help you cycle within manual mode, which has two patterns and three intensity levels.
But since you intend to use the app, you can skip manual mode. Instead, get on your app store and download the FeelConnect app and the OhMiBod app. Because this toy can be used with two different apps, we’re going to show you how to control the Esca 2, using one app and then the other. Let’s start with the OhMiBod app.
Using The OhMiBod App
Step 1
Open the app and follow the prompts to sync it with your phone.
Step 2
Once synced, you can control the toy’s vibration pattern and intensity through the app, and if your partner has the app and a Wi-Fi connection, you can easily share the fun with them. You can even send sexy texts and pictures within the chat modules, and you can hand over control to them and allow them to play with you using any of the four modes available in the OhMiBod app.
While we did mention them before, we’ll give a more profound explanation now. The four modes are Rhythm, Tap, Touch, and Club Vibe.
Rhythm – Rhythm has several sets of predefined vibrations to rock your boat. You can take your pick from various patterns with weirdly descriptive names such as Deep & Steady, Crashing Waves, Club, Ludicrous, Intense & Fast, etc. This mode is great for when you don’t have the time to fiddle with the patterns and intensity and just need something straightforward.
Tap – When in “Tap” mode, you’ll see a semi-circular line hovering above a circle that says “Tap.” Pressing and holding the Tap button makes the Esca 2 vibrate, and you can use the dial on the line above it to control the intensity. It’s extremely easy to use and a great edging tool.
Touch – In this mode, your phone screen is divided into four quadrants. The quadrants can be further divided into lower and upper quadrants. Each quadrant has a different vibration pattern. Directing your finger to the lower quadrants reduces intensity levels, and directing it to the upper quadrants increases intensity levels. Simply holding your phone screen will make the Esca vibrate.
Club Vibe – This mode allows you to sync your vibes to the beat of a song. You can control your phone’s microphone sensitivity and the intensity of the vibrations. You can also sync your vibe to the audio of a video that you’re watching.
Step 3
Use the Oh!dometer to keep track of your orgasms. Having the ability to look back on your orgasms is more fun than you’d think.

Using The FeelConnect App
Using this app is also hassle-free.
Step 1
Open the app and then the menu, and select “connect a device” to sync the Esca 2 to your phone or tablet.
Step 2
After the device is connected, head back to the menu and choose to “connect with your partner.” A pop-up will appear asking if you want to share or disconnect. Choose “share” to connect to your partner’s device, and you’re ready to go.
My Experience With The OhMiBod Esca 2
As I said before, I needed my partner’s help to try the Esca 2. So I lubed it up, slid it in, put on a pretty dress, and we headed out on a long-awaited dinner date.
He went straight to Deep & Steady, just after appetizers. I dropped my fork because I was NOT expecting that. Instead, it was like a deep throbbing in my vagina, and I started shaking a little before he stopped it.
It went on and off for the remaining hour, hour and a half that we were out, even almost exposing ourselves when he turned it way too high on the walk home. The sudden audible vibration and my near fall were a bit of a shock.
However, it only lasted for about forty more minutes after we got home, rounding up the runtime to about two hours and twenty-some minutes. We did manage to get in a few rounds before then, but it was disappointing to see that it didn’t last three hours.
The vibrations were arousing and distracting but not that strong. At one hundred percent vibration, the pulse of this toy is intense, but (and maybe because I’ve been testing sex toys for so long) it feels too bearable to be at max level.
I fully expected that I wouldn’t get to one hundred percent power, but I did, and I liked it and will probably use that level again. So instead, it was a little shocking. And the battery was a bit of a let-down after the lousy battery of the Original Esca.
But overall, would I buy the Esca 2? In a heartbeat I would.
